Mareeba Markets: Oct 2024

Mareeba Markets on once more at 100 Park, Mareeba Saturday 12th October from early till noon.

The Society is having another of their FREEBIE table. Everything on this table is FREE.

Otherwise the rest of the books are still going very cheap, as usual.

Callin and have smoko at the Mareeba Arts Centre, visit the Gallery 58 ad check out the many you beaut items there.

Outside the Historical Society rooms you will fin Salvadores tasty South Indian food, mild so you can add as much ‘fire’ as you like. Remember, it is frozen. The knowlegable leather man with his many styles of belts and other leather work is just waiting for you to ask questions.

Cam with his beautiful secondhand goods as well as the bead lady and the soft good people. Not forgetting the Mareeba Animal Refuge with their liver treats for your fur baby.

Visit the rest of the markets taking time as there is so much choice.

Hello All,

Markets on this coming Saturday and as usual lots to see, buy, eat and enjoy. Besides the Society’s usual stalls there will be an ICE CREAM stall. I’m really looking forward to that!

So we will have Salvo’s frozen Southern Indian food, ready to take away maybe for dinner that night. Isobell with her healthy and yum cakes and scones, Josh’s leather belts, made to just fit you, get lucky with the AnimalRefuge lucky numbers board and of course Mal with his good second hand items. Maybe the BEAD LADY Nina, will be here with her lovely selection of very pretty bead hangings.

we also have a good selection of 2nd handbooks going very cheap. Buy now and start stocking up for over the Christmas break

Were all friendly and happy to chat with you about any of the goods we are selling. Till this Saturday, stay happy. See you.

Christmas 2023

Well, how fast has this year gone? Can’t believe it seems we were celebrating Christmas only a month or two ago, now it’s back again.

This Saturday will be the final BAKE, MAKE & GROW Market for the year. Start again in 2024 13th January, usual 2nd & 5th Saturday of the month.

The society will be taking a break for Noon on Saturday 9th December, returning Tuesday 9th January, 2024. Email will be the best to stay in touch. sec@mbahistsoc.org.au

Our year has been very busy with great donation given to us, entailing work such as sorting accessioning, filing, scanning etc. A few more willing hands will not go astray next year, so give it thought and let me know. They will be most welcome.

One of our donations has been from 1980 to 1999 the work of a horse photographer here on the Atherton Tablelands. Her work is slowly being scanned and onto our computer. Best time to check on any of these is Wednesdays when we are open 8 till 3.

A huge THANK YOU to all those wonderful who supported the society all this year. Your kindness is appreciated and may it continue. We need people like you.

To all we wish you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year. May all you heart desires be granted.
