On the west facing wall inside the Church are two plaques, one made of marble and very old, the other small and of brass and wood.
The upper being the marble fastened to the wall with two largish screws:

The second below it reads:

On the 16th November 1917 this memorial tablet was dedicated in St David’s, Wolfram Camp.
It is the last remaining part of the Church, which was dedicated by Bishop John Oliver Feetman on 20th February 1917.
On 15th June 1917, ‘The Northern Churchman’ reported:
“That a cloud of gloom hung over the small town when word was received that Jack Galloway Healy had been killed in action in France, we sympathise with his mother.”

St David’s Church, Wolfram Camp fell into disuse in the Great Depression when mining ceased and the plaque was moved to St. Georges’, Mareeba.
