The objectives of the Mareeba Historic Society Inc.
   
 

a. The study of the history of Far North Queensland, with that of the Mareeba Shire and environs in particular.

b. The collection and preservation of written and printed records of all kinds; and the preservation of other materials of historic interest and value.

c. The publication of historical documents and early records of general interest.

d. The publication of Bulletins of Proceedings of the Society.

e. The inspection, indexing and collating of public records and registers.

f. The identification and marking of places of historical interest and their preservation.

g. The raising of funds by public subscription or other means for any or all of the above objectives.

   
  Items such as maps, books, photographs, etc., in fact any paper publications or writings pertaining to the region can be donated to the Society and are greatly appreciated.
Any cash Donations to enable ongoing research projects will also be greatly appreciated by the Society.
